Well, our little niece is 7 months old now. As per the “first year plan,” I take newborn photos, 3 month photos, 6 month photos, and one year photos. Now, this doesn’t always break down into those exact ages… actually it hardly ever does. In reality, these pictures are done at yes, newborn age (about a week old, so that word is accurate), then again when the baby can hold herself up with her arms on her tummy (sometimes it’s 4 or 5 months of age), then again at the age where she can sit up (sometimes this is 7 or 8 months), and then at the one year mark or somewhere around the time the baby starts walking. Each of these “ages” mark a different milestone in the baby’s development, personality, and overall appearance. At this age where a baby can’t crawl yet, I like to let them just do their thing while they sit there. If that’s making silly faces, sucking on their fingers, laughing, crying, whatever– it shows their personality, which is the point! So here we have Miss Rebekah at three different ages… and around December I will be doing her one year portraits!
