Wow, I have had SO much fun discovering new places to shoot out here in San Antonio and the surrounding area. I am (and always have  been) obsessed with Wimberley, so it is super exciting to be less than an hour away now. And I have had even more fun meeting new families around here and capturing their cuteness! Of course I got to photograph some of my good friends and their families too =)

And here we have the highlight reel of the Houston Mini Session day back in November! I got to see and photograph a couple of my very best friends and their families, some sweet high school friends, college friends, and some lovely new faces too. Such an awesome day. Thank goodness we had great weather (for the most part) and all the kiddos were happy campers! Looking forward to another round in the Spring =)

Now that the rush of the holidays is over, I finally have time to post a highlight reel of the Dallas mini sessions from September and October! It was SO wonderful to see all of these families again (and meet a couple of new ones), especially since we don’t live in Dallas anymore. I loved catching up with everyone and shooting at (most of) all my old favorite spots! I miss Dallas so very much and cannot wait to come back for Spring mini sessions in April!

My first shoot as an official San Antonio resident is in the books, and it was extra special because the (main) subject was our precious brand new nephew! He is so very loved by the whole family, especially his proud big sisters. I can’t wait to see what kind of shenanigans he and Logan get into here very soon!

Well now that it’s summertime, I guess I had better share all of these wonderful Spring mini sessions from May and April! I had so much fun seeing all of these faces I adore so much! Going back through all of these images and creating this post makes me so excited for the Fall and seeing all of you and more again!

What a super special shoot this was! Having grown up with Madi and Stuart, it was truly a joy for me to capture the beautiful family they have created! It was so hot and SO humid, but these guys were total champs. And I just adore this pretty park off of Briar Forest too! Here are some of my favorites… I especially love the ones where everyone is just being silly!

What a sweet and beautiful shoot this was! First of all, baby John is simply the most precious, plump little guy. His parents were absolutely lovely subjects too. Second of all, the light in this house was ahh-mazing! I just love the moments we captured!

What a joy it was to be able to photograph sweet Kenzie’s engagement photos! This girl’s high school SENIOR portraits were my first real gig as a photographer, back in 2009. Seems like ages ago, but also like yesterday! I had a blast capturing Kenzie and Houston… and I absolutely love this location I found in Cypress. So woodsy and and dreamy! Speaking of dreamy… the way these two look at each other is just that!

Miss Blake is baby number three in her family, and boy is she well loved! Proud big brother and sister were so good holding her, ever so gently. We had all kind of fun during this shoot… reading books, building block towers, doggy petting, you name it ;o) Three kids under the age of 4 make for a very busy mom and dad! Welcome to the party, baby Blake! You have a very sweet and fun family!

My very last shoot of 2016 and my first newborn shoot as a Houstonian (again)! What fun it was to reconnect with one of my oldest friends! Baby Jett looks exactly like his beautiful mama (in my opinion) and his wonderful parents are just smitten with his sweet face. So one thing that’s very cool, is that my dad and Kristy’s dad were also childhood friends. K and I didn’t know this when we became friends. She was my first friend at my new school in third grade. It was only later that all the dots were connected… it’s a small world after all! Our dads share a very special history… and now, I have had the enormous privilege of capturing part of Kristy and Jordan’s history.
